The rough shell surface provides an ideal grip for clinging birds, and the insect-flavoured suet filling broadens appeal beyond the seed feeders. Tits and woodpeckers particularly enjoy clinging acrobatically to coconut feeders.
FEEDING TIP: Hang from a branch or feeder hook out of direct sun in summer. Once empty, clean the shell thoroughly with hot water before refilling with fresh suet or lard if desired.
