DESCRIPTION

Layers pellets are the standard daily feed for laying hens and are formulated to provide everything a hen in lay needs — protein for egg production, calcium for strong shells, and a balanced vitamin and mineral profile for overall health and condition. The pellet format is cleaner and less wasteful than mash, and hens typically take to it readily.

This 20kg sack is a practical choice for small flocks of backyard chickens, providing several weeks of daily feeding depending on flock size. Layers pellets are suitable from point of lay onwards and can be fed ad lib or at measured twice-daily servings.

FEEDING TIP: Feed as the main daily ration from the morning. Supplement with mixed corn as an afternoon treat — but not more than 10–20% of the total diet, as too much corn reduces protein intake and can affect laying performance. Always provide fresh water, especially in hot weather. Store in a cool, dry, rodent-proof container.
