DESCRIPTION
Barley straw is a natural way to reduce algae in garden ponds. As the straw slowly rots it releases a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, which helps keep the water clear. Pillow Wad Pond Straw comes in a biodegradable perforated bag made from potato starch, which can go on the compost heap when spent. This pack contains 3 sticks.
HOW TO USE
Float the stick in the pond, ideally near the water outlet and tethered just below the surface. When the straw has almost fully decayed, add a fresh stick and remove the old one two weeks later.
